Coach Gus Harmon is in his second year as boys' cross country coach at Hemphill High School. Last year's team finished 2nd in District and qualified for Regionals at Humble. The Hornets had two runners who medaled 3rd and 8th place in the District 22-2A District Meet. Coach Harmon is excited about this year's squad. They have met their goal to finish first in the district for 2009-2010. The present and future for the cross country team looks great with all seven runners being underclassmen. Good luck, Hornets!
